The LSE Library is the major international library of the social sciences. It has been recognised by the Higher Education Funding Council as one of only five National Research Libraries in England. Given the huge interest in Africa within the student body and academic staff, it has now created an Africa subject guide.

LSE Library has recently created a subject guide on Africa. The guide is designed to help staff and students interested in this area to find relevant resources.

There is information on finding books and journal articles as well as more specialist sources like government publications, film, news and statistics.

The homepage shows which parts of Africa the collection covers and where its strengths are. It also has links to LSE news on African related topics as well as other organisations like the United Nations.

If your research is focussed on Africa it would be worth having a look to see what suggested resources are relevant to your investigation.

If you are an LSE staff member or student and want further help or would like to suggest resources for purchase,  please contact your Academic support librarian.
