Two current opportunities to consider if you are interested in a career in Washington DC are the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program and The Heritage Foundation Internship Program.

The PMF program is at an entry level for advanced degree candidates and is designed to attract outstanding men and women from a variety of academic disciplines. The focus of the program is on developing a cadre of potential government leaders. The PMF Assessment Preparation Guide for this year’s application cycle, which you should review before you start your application, is now posted on the PMF Assessment Process web page. The application period will open on Monday 5 November and close on Monday 19 November 2012 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

The Heritage Foundation Internship Program  is aimed at attracting young conservative leaders of the highest calibre  There are about 50 places in their Spring Internship scheme, which starts in January and runs until early May. The deadline for application is 1 November.
