As the exam period approaches and revision begins, we can easily lose sight of the LSE as a centre for ground breaking research.

The Department’s recent ranking  with the International Relations Department as joint first in the UK for the percentage of its research graded world leading or internationally excellent (88%), demonstrates that as well we being committed to the teaching of Political Science, our staff are recognised for their contribution to politics and policy-making across the globe.

However, research in the Department of Government isn’t just the domain of our world-leading faculty. Undergraduates who are conducting independent research find that they tap into the heart of our research-active environment, and gain a rich complement of personal and professional transferable skills in the process.

To find out how an Undergraduate Government dissertation (GV390) can extend academic and professional horizons, watch the interviews with our recent GV390 graduates and prize winners below.
