Summer Languages at LSE

Following its successful launch in 2011, for the second year, the Language Centre is pleased to offer the ‘Summer Languages’ Programme at LSE. This programme consists of a range of short and intensive Modern Foreign Language courses, open to all LSE students and staff as well as the general public.

‘Summer Languages’ are an excellent way to have full immersion in a language over a couple of weeks; for those who are busy at the moment with exams (either studying or marking them), ‘Summer Languages’ are an ideal way to wind down after the pressure of the Academic Year. Moreover, summer can be the ideal time to brush up your language skills (or start a new one), especially for those planning to travel abroad.

These courses can also be taken as an introduction to the language and are complemented by our MFL certificate courses, starting in Autumn: http://www2.lse.ac.uk/language/ModernForeignLanguages/Certificate/MFLCertificateHome.aspx

We are currently offering two sessions: early July and late July and we have a choice of French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

All languages are offered at a beginner level and some have more advanced options; signing up is very easy and can be done completely online.
