With more than half the world’s population living in cities, there is currently considerable research into how cities can be more environmentally friendly. LSE Enterprise has entered into a new agreement in Spain with academics from the University Rey Juan Carlos and FCC, the global construction and infrastructure services giant, to assess some key aspects of the emerging ‘Eco-Cities’ agenda. LSE Enterprise will conduct expert surveys and investigate public opinion on environmental issues surrounding city development.
The first meeting took place in FCC´s zero-emissions HQ in the outskirts of Madrid, where their Citizen Services division is based and which showcases some of the innovative green design for commercial real estate that FCC are pioneering.
