The next LSE Masterclass in Social Sciences will take place in Madrid from Monday 26 until Wednesday 28 October. The programme is free, kindly sponsored by Fundación Ramón Areces.
This masterclass will be on Technology, Business and the Rise of the Machines: The Future of the Internet. It will be taught by LSE academics Dr Will Venters, Dr Lourdes Sosa and Dr Carsten Sørensen. It will focus on the economic impact of technology, including investigating the role of information and communication technology for organisational innovation, which is undergoing radical changes.
Day one will focus on cloud computing and its impact on business. Day two will look at the impact of disruptive technologies on competition as well as designing appropriate strategic responses. The final day will focus on the challenges of innovating in an increasingly digital world.
