quote on Colombia by LSE Director

Participants from the ‘Programa Presidentes de Empresa’ from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia have attended an international week at LSE for the last two years. They have taken high-level sessions on the major themes and changes in today’s society, from international political economy to the transatlantic economic relationship.

LSE recently paid a return visit to the Universidad, with over 60 CEOs and Presidents attending at the Gun Club in Bogotá. Adam Austerfield, Director of Global Markets at LSE Enterprise, opened proceedings with an overview of LSE and its relations with Colombia, in particular with the Universidad de los Andes.  Professor Mick Cox then gave a speech on the global political economy, and fielded questions ranging from Russia and Putin´s role in the world to Chinese business relations in the US.

One of the agendas that we have at LSE is to strengthen our ties in the Latin American region and with Colombia in particular. Professor Craig Calhoun, LSE Director
