What do private pension plans, Donald Trump and Brexit have in common?
This is the question Pablo Pardo addresses in his latest published article in El Mundo (13 August 2016). Pablo explores Professor Nicholas Barr’s theory that the common factor is excessive optimism, or faith. Professor Barr, from the London School of Economics and Political Science, is one of the world’s leading experts on the welfare state.
Pablo Pardo, who recently attended an FRA (Fundación Ramón Areces) masterclass in social science, further explores Professor Barr’s ideas on the role of human behaviour in decision making and the lack of regulation in the marketing of ideas in election campaigns.
