
The United States and Europe – The 58th US Presidential Election & the Status Quo of Transatlantic Relations
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is hosting an event in Madrid on 27 October 2016, in collaboration with Spanish Newspaper Expansión.
In honour of the upcoming US presidential elections, the event, held at The Westin Palace – Salón Palace, from 8.30am – 10.15am, will analyse the relationship between Europe and the United States. Francisco Rosell, Expansión’s Editorial Unit Deputy Chairman, will be welcoming guests and José Manuel García-Margallo, Spain’s current Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, will be giving the opening speech.
This high-level round-table event on EU-US relations, will include the speakers Ana Palacio and Carlos Westendorp, former Spanish Ministers of Foreign Affairs; Antonio Garrigues Walker, lawyer; and Michael Cox, LSE Professor of International Relations and Head of Programme for Transatlantic Relations.
LSE Enterprise Manager, Christian Thiel, will be closing the event alongside Ana I. Pereda.
