IMT are pleased to announce we now have an unlimited user licence for the Matlab software application. Matlab is a high-performance language for technical computing and data analysis which integrates visualisation and programming in an easy-to-use interactive environment.
Previously IMT funded 75 licences for concurrent users across the School. Now we can offer all staff and students free unlimited access to the software from their laptops/personally owned devices, to allow for offline working. From today, Monday 26 October, campus based computers, the Remote Desktop and the LSE Abacus service has also been upgraded to include the enhanced licence.
Additionally we have extended the toolboxes available for free with our licence to include the most requested (from LSE staff/students) add-on programmes (click the links below for further information on each toolbox):
Please note this new enhanced licence agreement is for an initial 12 month period, after which we will review the status of usage across the School, as well as the home use demand to determine whether the extended licence should be renewed.
To request installation on your laptop or personal device, please contact the IMT Service/Help Desk:
- it.servicedesk@lse.ac.uk | 020 7107 5000 (staff and post graduate research students)
- it.helpdesk@lse.ac.uk | 020 7955 6728 (taught students)
Additionally, if you have any comments or feedback about the extended licence, please send them to: imt.comms@lse.ac.uk
