IMT will be carrying out essential network maintenance in the Library on Tuesday 23rd May between 7 – 7.20am.

During this period, there will be a short outage to wired and wireless connections in the open access area of the Library, affecting the lower ground, first, second and third floors only. Services affected by the outage include (but are not limited to):

Scheduled Maintenance: Desktop Security Patching

IMT will be carrying out maintenance work on Windows desktop PCs overnight to help protect any vulnerable devices at risk from the global ransomware threat.

As part of this work, your PC will reboot overnight. Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

Taming Big Data with Python | Thursday 23 March from 6pm 

The next python user group (LSE PUG) meet-up will feature Patrick Morris (BlackRock) on ‘Taming Big Data with Python’.

Demonstrating data ingest and visualisation, the session will use common Python libraries such as Pandas and Matplotlib. These powerful and comprehensive toolsets allow for the reading and writing of different files, data cleansing, data wrangling and visualisation.

Microsoft O365 Issue: Missing App Launcher Tiles

IMT are aware of an issue Microsoft is having with displaying some application links, including the OneDrive for Business (OD4B) tile, via the Office 365 app launcher or your portal homepage.

Microsoft are working on a resolution to this issue which is also affecting colleagues from other higher education institutions. We’ll notify you as soon as the problem is fixed.

Cabling Maintenance: SAW, Thursday 9 – Friday 24 March

IMT will carry out essential cabling maintenance on all floors of the Saw Swee Hock Building over the next two weeks.
