Public Power (or, How A Lazy Blogger Exploits His Audience)

I am a passionate enthusiast for public participation in the news media. It’s what my book is all about. And what better – and more amusing – example than John Kelly’s attempt to revive his Voxford blog in his home town Washington DC.

After a terrific stint blogging as a Yankee amongst the Dreaming Spires, John is back in the US capital and reading to start blogging again for the Post with his off-beat thoughts on life in the political heart of America.

But, let’s be honest, John is a laid-back kind of mainstream-hack-gone-digital who has spotted that crowd-sourcing is a great way to get the punters to do your work.

Check out the brilliantly creative response from his readers to a plea to help our hero in his quest for a title for his new blog.

My favourites:

I went to Oxford for an education and all I got was this lousy Blog!
