The conference concerns anti-Naturalism in modern philosophy. The challenge of naturalism has been a central issue for philosophers as diverse as Kant, Frege, Husserl and Merleau-Ponty and debates concerning Naturalism continue to cut across distinctions between diverse philosophic al traditions and perspectives. As such, the topic provides a point of shared interest for these different traditions.
