Is financial management a question of mathematics or a question of ethics? Are the tools of financial modelling ethically neutral? Christian Walter argued that in the context of finance any preference in mathematics is also a preference in ethics and discussed his ideas with financial economist Jean-Pierre Zigrand and philosopher Alex Voorhoeve.
