Volunteering Ambassadors are LSE students who are passionate about volunteering and want to inspire the rest of the student body to volunteer. Through social media campaigns, events, Student Volunteering Week and much more, our ambassadors are advocates for the benefits of volunteering.
But why should you become one?
As an ambassador you’ll have the chance to work closely with the LSE Volunteer Centre and other departments across the school. You’ll also be working with your current network to promote your work through societies and your academic department. It’s a great chance for you to get to know how parts of the school work and how you can influence change within it!
The role is what you make of it! You can develop your marketing skills through social media, strengthen your leadership skills or have the chance to run events. We’ll help you set personal goals for the year and empower you to reach them. It’s also a fantastic change to work on your communication and interpersonal skills, as you’ll be working with the other ambassadors and in smaller project groups.
Meeting New People
You’ll working with 14 other LSE students who are also passionate about volunteering, from different departments, years and SU societies! It’s a great opportunity to meet new people that you might not have met otherwise. At meetings you’ll be brainstorming with your fellow ambassadors and working on projects together. We’ll also help to organise a social for the team!
You’ll be taking part in, and leading, lots of exciting events throughout the year and creating other initiatives to help inspire fellow LSE students to volunteer. You’ll be working as a team with other ambassadors to come up with new ideas and give advice to the Volunteer Centre about what students are thinking when it comes to volunteering. Check out the role description for more information!
