Political Theory Graduate Conference 2015

The LSE Department of Government is pleased to announce its Second Political Theory Graduate Conference to take place on 17 and 18 March 2016. The aim of the conference is to give graduate students working in the field of political theory (broadly conceived) an opportunity to present and discuss their projects with peers, receive feedback for work in progress, and build a wider community of graduate political theorists across the UK, Europe and beyond.

Papers on any theme or topic within political theory and philosophy will be considered. Fifteen papers will be selected, and grouped into panels chaired my LSE graduate students.

Deadline: November 20th, 2015

Send abstract to: lsepotygradconf@gmail.com. Do not place any identifying information in the abstract.

In addition, fill out a separate online form with your personal contact details using the submission webpage

Acceptance notifications: mid-January.

Accepted papers must follow by 1 March 2016.

All abstracts will undergo a double-blind review process.

Confirmed keynotes speakers: Professor Onora O’Neill, Baroness  of Bengarve (Cambridge) and Professor (Emeritus) Hillel Steiner (Manchester).

Attendance is free of charge, and lunch and coffee will be served. We also offer travel bursaries, based on need and our budget. If you would like to be considered, please write a brief paragraph describing your funding situation in the online form.

For any further questions, please contact Maud Gauthier-Chung at M.f.gauthier-chung@lse.ac.uk or Mollie Gerver at M.Gerver@lse.ac.uk.
