LSE’s Anthropology Department, with a long and distinguished history, remains a leading centre for innovative research and teaching. We are committed to both maintaining and renewing the core of the discipline, and our training of PhD students is recognised as outstanding.

Our weekly Friday morning Research Seminar on Anthropological Theory has, since Malinowski’s time, been the venue for cutting-edge, intensive debate on current research in the discipline.

We also host the annual Malinowski Memorial Lecture. This year’s lecture will be delivered by Dr Harry Walker of LSE on 28 May 2015 at 6pm in the Old Theatre. To access a full list of Malinowski Memorial Lectures click here.
