LSE100 Prizegiving 2011
Warwick Brennand (L) receives his prize from Howard Davies

The International Relations Department is pleased to announce that the prize for best performance on the LSE100 final examination was awarded to Warwick Brennand, a second-year student in the IR Department.  He received his prize from LSE Director Howard Davies at a reception and prizegiving on 22 February 2011.

Warwick’s performance on the examination (and the course) was truly outstanding.  The external examiner of LSE100, who is the Chair of the Social Sciences faculty at the University of Warwick, remarked how impressed she was by the quality of the Distinction candidates generally and particularly by Warwick’s script.

LSE100 is an innovative new course that introduces first year undergraduates to the fundamental elements of thinking like a social scientist.  The course is compulsory for all incoming undergraduates from 2010–11.
