The conference ‘Russia in the Balkans’ has now concluded. The video recording can be found on the event’s webpage.
LSEE Research on South Eastern Europe and SEESOX (South East European Studies at Oxford), supported by NATO’s public diplomacy division, hosted the one-day conference ‘Russia in the Balkans’ at the LSE Shaw Library on Friday, 13 March 2015.
The conference speakers took a nuanced, analytical perspective at Russia’s role, exploring the major projects and cooperation initiatives undertaken with local governments, and mapping bilateral links with the countries of the region in the broader context of Moscow’s tangled relations with the West since the beginning of Putin’s third term as president.
