Telephony Services will be disrupted on Thursday 19th December

This is advanced notification that that between 09:00 and 17:00 on Thursday 19 December IMT will be supporting the move to the new telephone system.

As a result of this work there will be disruption to inbound calls (callers external to LSE) to all departments, which may potentially last throughout the day affecting most users within the LSE. During this time any external call attempting to reach the LSE has the potential to be disrupted and if so, will not connect.

This disruption will include the School’s main switchboard number and also telephony services provided to Halls of Residence.

However, any phone number within the ranges of 020 3486 25xx-29xx and 020 7849 49xx will not be affected by this work.

Some telephone services will still be available. The following will be unaffected by this work:

–          All internal calls (to or from other telephone numbers in LSE) will be unaffected

–          All outbound calls made by LSE staff will be unaffected

–          Any telephone number within the ranges of 020 3486 25xx-29xx and 020 7849 49xx will be able to make and receive calls and will be unaffected by the work.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but ask that you make preparations to avoid as much disruption as possible on the day.

If you experience any continued disruption to your telephone service, please email it.servicedesk@lse.ac.uk or contact the IMT Service Desk on ext 5000.
