The LSE Python User Group (LSE PUG) is a new monthly meetup for those interested in learning and understanding Python programming.
Python is free open-source software which allows you to code easily, using fewer lines than languages such as C++ or Java. This general purpose, high-level programming language is used by sites like YouTube, Dropbox and Instagram.
If you would like to meet other local Python developers, learners and enthusiasts, join us at the launch event on Monday 22nd February, from 6-8pm (location tbc).
All skill levels are welcome: if you are interested in Python, we are interested in you!
For more information and to RSVP, please contact the organiser* Taj Chowdhury: T.Chowdhury@lse.ac.uk
From March 2016, LSEPUG will be hosting regular events on the last Wednesday of every month. Activities may include:
- A presentation series: Python users sharing their programming expertise with time allowed for questions and demonstrations
- Short talks: 5-15 minute on Python hot topics
- Informal project nights: An opportunity to sit down with other Python developers of all experience levels to develop your own project or get coding support
- Guided workshops: Learning by doing, step by step beginner tutorials for non-programmers
*LSE PUG is a voluntary group organised by members of staff from the Information, Management & Technology (IMT) Division.
