On Sunday 7 August between 8am to 8pm, IMT will carry out essential network maintenance, performing key systems upgrades and replacing equipment in preparation for the new academic year.
LSE IT services will experience intermittent outages throughout the day for up to one hour at a time. Please be aware that while services may be available for brief periods, they are at risk of losing connectivity to the LSE network for the duration of the maintenance period.
Affected services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Campus WiFi
- Campus PCs, printers and telephones
- H: space and any shared network drives
- Moodle and LSE For You
Abacus users are asked to note the system will be unavailable for an extended period between 8am – 8pm.
All users are advised to stop and save any open sessions by midnight on Saturday 6 August at the latest. During the maintenance period any open sessions will be stopped, and for the duration of these works there will be no access to the Abacus service or storage.
The completion of this work on Maintenance Sunday will improve the performance, reliability and resilience of the IT infrastructure at LSE.
