IMT will be updating the certificate* for the eduroam service on Thursday 4 August 2016 (edit: the change did not come into effect until Sunday 7th).
If you access WiFi via eduroam, you may receive a warning message asking if you trust the certificate the first time you connect to the service after the update:
All users are asked to authenticate the certificate by selecting Continue or Trust on their device.
Please note: you will only have to do this once for each device which connects to eduroam.
If you have any questions about the certificate or experience difficulties with authentication, please contact the IT Service Desk:
- firstname.lastname@example.org (staff and post graduate research students)
- email@example.com (taught students)
- 020 7107 5000
*The eduroam.lse.ac.uk digital certificate gives your device confidence it is connecting to a secure authenticated server before it provides sensitive information (e.g. your LSE password). It is good practice to check certificates before trusting them.
