Our Tech Talk series returns with a look at how the IMT Networks team supports our digital lives at LSE.

Join us from 12:00-1:30pm on Monday 27 November in the Parish Hall (PAR.LG.03) for an insight into the networks of the future. Please RSVP to imt.comms@lse.ac.uk. A sandwich lunch will be provided for attendees.

Networks of the future

We’re increasingly spending more and more time in an online world – both in our personal lives and in the workplace. As our digital presence continues to grow, a radical overhaul behind the scenes at LSE has been underway to keep us all connected.

At the Networks of the Future Tech Talk, you’ll learn more about the projects undertaken, such as upgrading LSE’s internet connection and firewalls, the distribution network on Campus and the access networks that all of us connect to, day in day out.

The Networks team will share some of the challenges faced along the way, as well as what’s planned next for your connection to the “network of the future”.

At the end of the seminar, you’ll have an opportunity to meet IMT’s Network Specialists and see some of the tech and tools used to support LSE’s network.

What are Tech Talks?

A series of seminars covering a range of specialist subjects for LSE staff and students working with or interested in information technologies.
