Wired Network Access Restored to Sidney Webb and Butler’s Wharf Halls

Further to our previous blog post, wired network access was restored to the Sidney Webb and Butler’s Wharf residences at 6pm on Friday 14 August.

 

Significant Incident Update: No wired network access in Butler’s Wharf and Sidney Webb residences

Further to our previous blog post, wired network access is still unavailable in Sidney Webb and Butler’s Wharf residences.

IMT are working with the supplier to resolve the issue, and expect access to be restored this evening.

Wireless access via StudentCom is unaffected.

Significant Incident: no wired network access in Butler’s Wharf and Sidney Webb Residences

There is currently no wired network access in Sidney Webb and Butler’s Wharf Halls of Residence. IMT are liaising with the supplier to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Wireless access to the internet via StudentCom is unaffected.

Resolved Significant Incident: no access to Moodle Short Courses for New Accounts

Access to Moodle Short Courses is currently unavailable for new accounts, affecting newly registered Summer School students.

IMT are aware of the issue and are working to urgently resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Access to ‘The Cloud WiFi’ network for guests on campus is currently unavailable – we apologise for any inconvenience.

IMT are working with the provider to investigate and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Significant Incident Resolved – Access Restored to IMT Customer Portal

The issue affecting access to the IMT Customer Portal has now been resolved.

Significant Incident – IMT Customer Portal Access Issues

IMT are aware of a problem affecting access to the IMT Customer Portal. We will be restarting the system and the service should be available once again from 10:30 today.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Significant Incident Resolved – Issue with Outgoing External Email

The block on outgoing external email has now been removed.  All email services are now functioning normally.

IMT will initiate an investigation to identify any additional resources which might help to prevent further occurrences of this issue.

Significant Incident – Issue with Outgoing External Email

Our email service provider have detected a compromised account, and as a precaution have temporarily blocked email being sent from LSE to external addresses.

IMT are working closely with the email provider in order to ensure the block on external mail is lifted as soon as possible.

Any internal or incoming email is not affected by this incident.
