Over the next few weeks we at POLIS are going to get a bit obsessed by the media and Africa. POLIS is hosting a major international conference on the role of the media in governance and democracy in Africa. More on that over the next few days, but first a test of how much you know about Africa. I am no expert but having been the editor of Channel 4 News’ Africa Week in 2005 I thought I was a bit more conversant with that continent than most people. So it was a useful corrective to take this test on how many African countries you can name in ten minutes. To help you out, first have a quick look at this map Now have a go at the test.
