I’ve been asked to speak as part of an event to mark UNESCO’s World Press Freedom Day. The debate is whether press freedom is in retreat or not. I won’t tell you what I am going to say, yet. What do you think? Are countries like Russia, Ethiopia and Uganda indications of a reversal of the post-Cold War gains? Does spin in the British media deny us proper political reporting?
