There’s a great chance for journalists to debate their union’s policy on Israel/Palestine tonight (Friday 15th). The boycott issue has stirred feelings in both the Academy and the Newsroom. But the attempt to boycott Israel is not the only complaint from journalists about the NUJ. For example, how does the NUJ cope with the world of online news and ‘citizen journalism’? Tonight, I am chairing a debate with NUJ President Jeremy Dear, NUJ member and former MP, Tony Benn, and the Times columnist David Aaronovitch. See you at the Frontline Club in Paddington, West London at 7.30pm.
