Tis the season of goodwill so it’s a good time to tell you about a heart-warming media project called Need Magazine which combines coffee table good looks with coverage of charitable works on a global scale.
The magazine looks a bit like National Geographic with stunning photos from around the world. But the subject matter is inspiring tales of aid workers, volunteers or activists working on imaginative projects for change.
A former POLIS intern Daniele Bora wrote a chapter, for example, on a group of young American architects who came up with a radical design for a community building in post-Tsunami Sri Lanka.
