You can read a blog report on this event here.

Please join us for an expert seminar on the latest thinking in social media marketing. We will also be celebrating the winner of the first POLIS/Interaction Social Media Prize.

Last year’s POLIS Social Media Reality check was the first of several events that attempted to get past the jargon and hyperbole around online marketing.

This year we will hear from Hibah Hussein on her special social media research project, Christian Gladwell from Interaction London and Ellen Helsper, a specialist in social media marketing at the LSE media department. But the idea is that we want everyone who comes to contribute to an open session on the realities of Internet marketing.

How do you measure results? What is the value of interactivity? What platforms perform? Has advertising really been replaced by a conversation? What’s in it for the producers and the consumers?

If you would like to be part of this free event at 6.30pm on Wednesday February 2nd then you must RSVP to polis@lse.ac.uk We might even give you a drink afterwards…
