In the lead up to today’s referendum on the Alternative Vote, campaign materials from both sides have been subject to controversy with accusations of misleading or incorrect statements on both sides. As these will be of immense interest to future academics and commentators, Anna Towlson who runs the LSE Archives would like to seek the help of readers of British Politics and Policy at LSE in continuing their unrivalled collection of election campaign literature.
The LSE Library (the national library for the social sciences) is currently collecting referendum pamphlets and publicity materials, and we would like readers of British Politics and Policy at LSE to send us what they have received from all sides of the AV campaign.
Sending local leaflets and campaign ephemera in to the LSE Library could not be simpler. Just put everything related to the referendum that you have received in an envelope – the Archive can sort out what they want to keep – and send it to the Archive address at:

I hope public money isn’t being spent replicating:

(Or worse spend on a project that isn’t as useful!)
