This Week: interviews with LSE Sociology faculty

Estimated reading time: 5 minutes

Every day this week the blog will be featuring interviews with various members of faculty from the LSE Sociology department. These contain discussions about their research, the thinking behind it, and what they believe the future holds for their respective fields. Examples of topics covered include the nature of money, the complexity of gender, London housing, and urban ethnography. In addition, the academics also share insightful personal comments and anecdotes, such as what drew them to sociology and academia in the first place.

The hope is that these will prove to be interesting reading and provide a chance to get to know our academics better, outside of the usual formal contexts. Moreover, it is an opportunity to demonstrate the diverse nature of the department and the variety of research areas that its members are actively engaged in. We hope you enjoy reading them.
