Update on October 1, 2012: Due to unavoidable circumstances, tonight’s event with Karan Johar has been cancelled

Bollywood fans at LSE are in luck: Indian filmmaker Karan Johar is scheduled to speak at LSE on Monday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m. Director and producer Johar is known for mega-hits such as “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai“, “Kal Ho Na Ho“, and “My Name is Khan”. He will discuss modern Hindi cinema and the forthcoming Dharma Films production “Student of the Year”. The cast of the film, including newcomers Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt, will also be in attendance.

The event has been organised by the National Indian Students Union (UK) and the LSESU Spice society as part of their celebration of 100 years of Hindi cinema.
