My hair and I have been on a long journey since my first haircut in a salon at the age of 12. We’ve been down to grade 1 when I had my head shaved for charity- scary right? Now, finally, years later it sits upon my shoulders, the longest it has been for 6 years. I think that one of the best things I gained out of having it all shaved off (apart from the £500 that went to charity!) was learning how insignificant and temporal it is. Since I have been far happier to experiment and be playful with it. The lucky person in charge of some of these experiments has been my eldest sister. Paying £50 for a haircut seems like a pretty big deal when you can get it done for free. Last night I paid another visit to ‘Salon Holly’ and left a happy customer. It is things like this that remind me that we shouldn’t waste our money on appearances and that it can be so much better spent on experiences, which for me means travel- exploring our world. Thanks Holly!
When will you shave your sisters hair?
