Follow my guide to some of the best gelaterias in town!

1. Amorino, Garrick St, WC2E

Amorino’s Icecream Rose

An artisanal gelato maker, Amorino has a number of branches in London with the closest being a 10-minute walk from LSE at Covent Garden. With a unique concept of the pretty Amorino rose, they put together as many flavours as you want in a cone with the added option of topping it with a macaroon. With a large variety of gelatos and sorbets and a number of seasonal varieties as well. Amorino is certainly one of my favourites!

Venchi

2. Venchi, Covent Garden, WC2E

Situated in the beautiful Covent Garden market, this Italian chocolate and gelato maker has only one outlet in London. With an assortment of flavours, Venchi offers one of the best dark chocolate gelato made with their own exquisite chocolate! With a beautiful wall display of ice cream cones, you surely can’t resist visiting this store. It might be a bit of a wait since there is always a queue outside the store, but it is definitely worth the wait!

3. Snowflake Gelato, Wardour St, W1F

Perfectly placed in the heart of Soho, Snowflake is like a snowflake – beautiful and unique! With flavours from all parts of Italy, Snowflake serves luxury gelato and delicious sundaes and milkshakes. Lime and Mint and Cuoricino are my absolute favourite!

4. Udderlicious, Covent Garden, WC2H

Udderlicious Icecream Cones

With two branches (Covent Garden and Islington), Udderlicious is certainly udderlicious! With a handsome variety of gelato and sorbet, Udderlicious never lets me down! Peach Melba and Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Caramel are a must-try!

5. Ruby Violet, Kings Cross, N1X

Located near the Granary Square, Ruby Violet is a quaint little shop serving gelato and amazing ice cream sandwiches. Grab one of their ice creams as you stroll around the canals and the floating bookstore opposite the shop. With a recently opened seating area, you can now enjoy their signature ice cream served on your table! One of my favourites is the ginger cookie ice cream sandwich!

6. Milk Train, Tavistock St, WC2E

Home to a one-of-a-kind ice cream – an ice cream cone wrapped in dreamy candy floss clouds, Milk Train offers one of the most Instagram-able ice cream cones of London! With chic interiors and handsome seating, Milk Train also has magical sundaes and milkshakes on its menu. My favourite is the Cookies and Cream with the cotton candy, of course. Not worth your while, unless you are more interested in the pretty pictures!
