Now that it’s summer, Regent Street welcomes back its annual event, Summer Streets. This festival takes place on four Sundays across the month of July, August and September (check the website for more info). The traffic is stopped, pedestrianising the entire road from Oxford Circus to Piccadilly Circus, transforming the street into a carnival-like festival with events, experiences, street food and best of all, store discounts!

Here are some of the highlights:

Seedlip mocktails

Complimentary ice pops and drinks

As part of the event, many stores have set up mocktail/cocktail stations to hand out yummy tropical drinks to visitors. Certain stores also have an ice-cream stand installed in their store for customers to cool themselves down while they are busy shopping!

Fun experiences

Stores also offer experiences in relation to their area of expertise. For example:

  • Lululemon has organized a bunch of outdoor fitness sessions
  • Asics also have a similar line-up of sport-related activities (they even had free massages last Sunday!)

    Molton Brown stand
  • L’Occitane offers free hand massages.
  • Tea making classes at T2.

The list goes on.

Free Samples

On the street, you can find several stores giving you free samples. Molton Brown is one such example. T2 also allows you to sample their tea range. Brands like Kiehl’s also provide a free skin consultation along with their samples.

Food Quarters

This part of the street houses all the food stalls from Crosstown Doughnuts to Hawksmoor. You only need pass by it, to be drawn in by the smell. There are quite a lot of cuisines represented there as well!

Live music

Additionally, at different spots throughout the streets, there were several live bands performing. These bands were of different genres but of equal talent and there was a sit-down area provided for anyone who wanted to enjoy the music.

If you missed these the last two weeks, don’t worry about it! Make your way down to Regent Street this Sunday for a fun-filled weekend. Also, make sure to check the websites for any special offers on your favourite brands. This event goes on till the 15th of September.
