Before coming to LSE for my master’s degree, I did not really have the opportunity to visit the LSE campus and I was not sure what to expect. I knew that in a big city like London, the university campus might not be as nice as in small cities. However, it is more beautiful than what you can imagine! If you are coming to LSE in September and don’t have the chance to see what the campus is like beforehand, this blog post is for you. Here are some reasons why the LSE campus is unique.

A campus in Central London

All the LSE buildings are located next to each other in the very centre of London. The area is mainly pedestrian, and you are able to walk from one building to another in a very short time. Despite being located in the very heart of the city, you can enjoy the student vibe on campus and some tranquillity when walking through it.

Wonderful infrastructure

The infrastructure at LSE is extremely beautiful. Each building is different and has its own characteristics. One of my favourite buildings is the LSE Library! One of its unique features is having a glass lift and a spiral ramp in the very centre of the building. Moreover, it offers very diverse study spaces, and each student is able to find a favourite spot.

George IV pub

The George IV is one of the pubs on campus. It is located in the middle of campus and is surrounded by different academic buildings. While every university has its own cafés, it is quite special to have your own classic British pub! It is always full of students having a beer together after long days spent on campus. At the beginning of the year, it is also a good way to get to know your classmates better and start making new friends.

The LSE campus has a lot to offer, and you will not be disappointed. Check out the campus map.
