Make sure you read our 2023 edition of our Christmas volunteering blog.

If you’ll be in London over the holidays, then there’s no better place or time to volunteer! Not only will it help you get into a festive mood, but you can also help your community while you’re at it. Better yet, grab a friend or family member and sign up together to double the amount of holiday cheer spread! There are so many different causes and opportunities available to Londoners, so browse around until you find one that is meaningful to you. We are listing a few excellent ones below, but know that the opportunities are not limited to this list!

Christmas Station Collections Volunteer with St Mungo’s

St Mungo’s is looking for volunteers to join them for a two-hour time slot of your choice throughout the day to help spread festive cheer whilst engaging with members of the public with their work and collecting vital donations to help get people off the streets this winter. There are a variety of Station locations around London that you can commit to helping host a bucket collection.

Crisis at Christmas is another organization committed to helping end homelessness for good. Over the holiday season, they offer both hotel accommodation and a day centre offer, where a range of activities, meals and services can be accessed. However, they need volunteers to make this happen. They are looking for volunteers to help in their hotels through late January, day centres and warehouses.
