Following the announcement of a consultation on the BBC’s future, we sat down with Professor Charlie Beckett to discuss what the implications could be both for the BBC itself and the overall media landscape.

Charlie Beckett is director of Polis, the journalism and society think-tank at the London School of Economics’ Media and Communications Department. He spent 20 years working for some of the best news and current affairs programmes at the BBC, LWT and ITN’s Channel 4 News.
