25 May, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Ubuntu Café, established in 2022, is a space for African students at LSE and friends of Africa to connect, converge, debate and be empowered.

To commemorate Africa Day on May 25th , the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa will host the second Ubuntu Café. We welcome African students and friends of Africans at LSE, from nearby universities, and the public to join us in celebrating the beauty of our shared cultural diversity.

The event will consist of the launch of Professor David Luke‘s How Africa Trades, a poetry and spoken word performance, as well as a fashion show and the showcase of our ‘Africa Debates’ series.

African students at LSE, friends of Africa, PfAL students, PfAL alumni based in London, LSE staff and faculty, and African students in nearby universities are invited to attend and celebrate the spirit of Ubuntu.
