Over April, as Indian voters participate in the world’s largest democratic process, South Asia Centre Director and Anthropologist Dr Mukulika Banerjee will be travelling around India speaking to some of the country’s poorest citizens. In this first video, she speaks to Jasbir from Delhi about demonetisation #LSEIndia2019.

Throughout April and May 2019, c.900 million Indians will vote in what is the world’s largest democratic exercise. As Narendra Modi seeks to repeat his success from 2014, follow the South Asia Centre for analysis and commentary on the country’s 17th parliamentary elections. #LSEIndia2019
