Here’s a handy guide to help you navigate LSE’s Virtual Graduate Open Events taking place from Monday 8 to Friday 19 November 2021, from Student Recruitment Administrator and LSE Alum Nazia Taznim.
LSE’s Virtual Graduate Open Events will allow prospective graduate students to get to know more about LSE, the graduate study opportunities and support available for those considering pursuing a Master’s or PhD at the School. All from the comfort of your own home!
There are many live online events taking place between Monday 8 to Friday 19 November 2021, where you’ll have the chance to attend virtual sessions and find out everything you need to know about:
- Our Master’s and PhD programmes taught at LSE
- The admissions process and how to apply
- The student experience directly from current LSE students
- Support services during your graduate studies
And you’ll be able to ask questions to our staff and students during the online events.
Here’s what’s coming up over the next two weeks and how to choose which events to book onto and attend:
Subject/Department events
We have 25 departments and over 140 taught master’s programmes at LSE. So, if you want to know more about the Master’s or PhD programmes you’re interested in applying for, you should definitely attend an online session delivered by your department of interest. Hear from department faculty about the:
- Programmes on offer in their department
- Programme content and structures
- Student life within the department
You’ll also be able to submit your questions and get answers directly from department staff and students.
You can find all our department-specific events here and book now. Some departments will also be holding separate sessions for individual programmes and levels of study so book now!
Applying to LSE for Graduate Study
If you have any admissions-based questions, it is a good idea to book onto one of the Applying to LSE for graduate study talks. Delivered by LSE’s Graduate Admissions team, they will go through what you need to be aware of in your journey to make a successful application. As you’ll have the chance to submit questions during the session, it’s good to have a few prepared beforehand.
This talk is key if you want to know more about:
- What the application process involves
- What makes a successful application
- Everything you need to make and complete your application
Introduction to LSE
Our LSE Discovery Sessions take place every two weeks for prospective students thinking about studying at LSE and will provide attendees with an insight into the study options at LSE, student life and services and the application process. Then book onto our student panel talks where we’ll have (you guessed it) current LSE students sharing their experiences of applying and studying at LSE, and what it’s like being an LSE student. There will be separate Master’s and PhD students’ panels which you can book onto.
