Galentine’s day is the day before Valentine’s and is considered as a celebration of female friendship, however, it is also acknowledged as Palentine’s day to include all friendships! This day was inspired by the “Parks and Recreation” sitcom television series. I’ll be providing an overview of the various activities that you can engage in with your friends during the Valentine’s season in London.
Galentine’s Baking Session
If you enjoy cheffing it up in the kitchen, then cooking with your friends at a cooking session might be the perfect way for you to spend your Galentine’s Day. You can head over to the White Horse pub in Wembley Park to decorate cakes. These sessions last for two hours and are led by expert pastry chefs. On the other hand, you could also go to the Oh La La! Macrons workshops as they offer a special session for the Galentines season. During this evening masterclass, you will learn how to make delicious macrons, where you have the opportunity to both bake and decorate the delicious pastry. At the end of the day, who wouldn’t want to enjoy a delicious bite of pastries with their friends?
Candlelight Concert
There are many Candlelight Concerts in beautiful and unique venues across London, allowing you to appreciate the historical place and architecture. BTS fans can grab their friends to watch a Candlelight show in Porchester Hall. These concerts are typically orchestrated by a group of violinists. In the case of the BTS concert, there is the accumulation of a string quartet that plays a programme of over five pieces by the artist. By attending a candlelight concert, you get the opportunity to enjoy intimate ambiance that can make for a memorable experience. Listening to the violinists provides a relaxing experience and allows you to unwind before reading week. Furthermore, the Candlelight Concerts permit one to dive into the rich cultural scenes of London while spending quality time with friends with world-class musicians.
Bottomless Brunches
Many restaurants are taking part in Galentines Day by offering bottomless brunches. This is a great way to chat with friends about the value of friendship and celebrate how far everyone has come. Bounce, a social experience centred around table tennis in London, is offering a Galentine’s Bottomless Brunch at Bounce Farringdon. Not only is this restaurant close to campus, but it allows you to mingle with your friends in a more competitive atmosphere as you play table tennis and dance to all the Queen pop anthems with a guest DJ. This fun and festive space allows you to have a lively and celebratory climate as you and your friends celebrate the social occasion of Galentine’s Day. This is an all-in-one package as you dine, drink, and entertainment with games and music to dance and sing your heart away with your friends.
