Interested in embarking on a career in the US or Canada? Well, if you’re a US or Canadian citizen, we have the event series for you…

Our Careers in the US and Canada programme pulls together four themed weeks of fantastic events, all aimed at getting you ready for a career in one of these regions. Some events are aimed at both US and Canadian citizens, some just US and some specifically Canada.

Starting 27 September, we have a whole host of stuff you can get involved with – check out week one’s events below, including alumni panels and employer presentations:

Careers in the US – Meet our alum: Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) – Wednesday 29 September @ 5pm

Meet our Alum brings together alumni and a small group of current students for 20-minute discussions so you can find out what it’s really like to work as a Presidential Management Fellow and embark on this career path.

Careers in the US: exploring consultancy recruitment in the COVID-19 era with Gallup – Thursday 30 September @ 2pm

This session will provide an overview of the unique strengths-based work culture of Gallup and our approach to talent-based hiring. In addition, we will delve more broadly into how COVID-19 is affecting hiring in the consulting industry overall as well as strategies to highlight research acumen and a global mindset in a competitive recruitment environment. There will be ample time for discussion and Q&A with Ilana Ron Levey, Gallup’s Senior Director of Public Sector Consulting and a LSE graduate of the MSc in Comparative Politics program.

Careers in the US and Canada: Point72 – Hedge Fund 101 – Friday 1 October 2021 @ 1pm

A Point72 Academy coach will discuss the US asset management industry and different investment strategies of a hedge fund. They will also walk through what the role of an investment analyst looks like followed by an open Q&A.
