They discuss some of the themes in Mark’s recently released book, Relief Chief:A Manifesto for Saving Lives in Dire Times, and his experiences in leading and managing responses to humanitarian crises for over 35 years. The conversation emphasises the importance of focusing on the lived experiences of refugees, particularly women and girls, and reflects on how the humanitarian system could improve responses to crisis and displacement.
