LSEUPR Recruitment for Deputy Editor-in-Chief 2021/22
Responsibilities:
- Be the primary contact for the Editorial Division
- Responsible for the UPR blog and the publication of blog posts
- Assign the review and edit tasks to Associate Editors, and work with the Journal Management System to publish editions of the journal
- Assist and collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief in the overall journal management
- Assist the Editor-in-Chief in making final decisions on the submitted manuscripts to ensure sustainable and timely copy flow
- Organise and facilitate the work of the Editorial Division
- Collaborate with other Executive Committee members on moving the UPR forward
Requirements:
- Strong commitment and sense of responsibility
- Interest in and commitment to the UPR and its mission
- Strong team management skills and experience
- Strong literary skills
- Ability to learn quickly and take on multiple duties
- Ability to work flexibly within a busy team environment and willingness to support fellow members of the team
- Time management and organisational skills – ability to multitask alongside your studies
- Must be a current LSE undergraduate student
- Relevant departmental background is preferable but not necessary
